Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation techniques are used for treating individuals who suffer from persistent pain, specifically in the area of bowel and bladder dysfunction and incontinence. The treatment uses electrical stimulation for a 30 minute duration to normalise signals to alleviate symptoms. This technique is utilised in lower urinary tract symptoms, especially in patients with overactive bladder, stress incontinence and symptoms of faecal incontinence. This treatment can be an alternative to medication or surgery. Therapy is applied via electro-acupuncture or via percutaneous stimulation using the PC Uroplasty unit.
