This technique is used as part of rehab post-surgery, cancer care and for patients with oedema (acute/chronic). This system involves manual techniques to open the lymphatic system. This therapy stimulates the contraction of lymph vessels to propel lymph fluid. Manual lymphatic drainage is coupled with bandaging/use of compression garments to enhance therapeutic relief.
